*Help seniors keep their beloved pets*

Companion animals play a vital role in the lives of our seniors. Unfortunately, elderly pet owners are especially susceptible to events not within their control. Proactive measures should be taken to assist seniors in keeping their pets in their own home.

SALI will provide short term and long term foster care for animals belonging to elderly pet owners who are going into the hospital or moving to residential accomodation where they are unable to take their pets.

Getting pets groomed is often impossible for house-bound seniors. A senior was evacuated out of his senior's complex due to flooding. He had no where for his beloved dog Champ to go during this evacuation. SALI placed Champ in a safe foster home for two months. While Champ was in foster care, SALI paid for him to be groomed. Champ was a new dog after his makeover and his owner was so appreciate when they were reunited.
