Parkwood Mennonite Home

Parkwood Mennonite Home has enhanced the lives of seniors in Waterloo Region for over 40 years. It has earned a reputation as a Home where seniors can live in a vibrant, caring community that responds to their need for assistance, belonging and quality of life.

Parkwood Seniors' Community --

Wellness Centre: Get involved in the many activities offered in our exciting Health and Wellness Centre, and invigorate yourself to reach new levels of fitness.

Garden Homes: The 18 Garden Homes of the Parkwood community are located adjacent to a new housing development. Many homes look out onto preserved agricultural land. Amenities include nearby walking trails, the publicly owned Grey Silos golf course and RIM Park, Waterloo’s premier sports facility.

Parkwood Suites: Parkwood Mennonite Home opened its existing facility in 2004. It includes a 96 bed Long-Term Care Home and 18 condominium-style Garden Homes. Parkwood Suites, upon it’s completion in Fall 2008 – added an 84 unit, 6-storey residence housing:

11 Fully Independent Apartments,
11 Supportive Living Apartments with Services,
62 Full Service/Assisted Living Suites,
and an exciting Health and Wellness Centre with Indoor Pool.

Long Term Care: Parkwood Mennonite Home provides compassionate care to 96 elderly persons who call Parkwood Mennonite Home their home.

The Home is divided into three 32-bed resident areas, which include spacious spas, intimate dining areas, and numerous locations of varying sizes to gather as family or community. There are 58 private rooms and 19 shared rooms (two people to a room with either a privacy curtain or a wall dividing the room).

One Home Area, Bauman Homestead, is designed for residents with dementia who are at risk of wandering. The other two Home Areas, Snyder’s corner and Weber Woods, provide care to residents with varying levels of need. We are a smoke-free facility.
