When families place a loved one in a facility, the facilities are responsible for the residents’ physical needs, such as providing meals, activities and a clean place in which the resident can live. However, facility operators expect family members to do their part by providing the loved one with one-one-one visitation time and emotional support to help the loved alleviate loneliness and feelings of isolation and abandonment. Unfortunately, sometimes family members are simply too far away or don’t have enough time to be there for their loved one as often as they would like.

Other seniors, though not requiring care in a facility, benefit from home support services, such as one-on-one visitation, meal preparation, touch-up cleaning, and similar services.
