The Family Caregiver Handbook is a “gateway” to key elder care organizations across the Commonwealth, providing telephone numbers, locations and website addresses so that caregivers can find the most appropriate resources closest to their own community.
If you are caring for an elder in Massachusetts this handbook is for you. It is designed to help you navigate through the complexities of the eldercare information and services that are available in the Commonwealth, and to find out how to secure appropriate services and resources for your family.
If you are caring for an elder outside of Massachusetts—in other words, you are a "long distance caregiver" — each section of this Handbook has a number of national organizations listed, and you will be able to find some information on services and resources in other states by contacting these groups.
