Goal:
Provide emotional, educational, social, spiritual and practical support to cancer patients, their family members, and their caretakers.
Provide information on cancer prevention and therapies, and peer support.
WORKSHOPS/ACTIVITIES:
Topics include:
Cancer prevention, medical talks, relaxation skills, nutrition workshops, community resource and peer support.
Currently, these information sessions are primarily presented in Cantonese; however, simultaneous Mandarin interpretation is provided.
Date and time:
Third Saturdays of each month
(2: 00 pm – 4: 00 pm)
Location: CCM Centre
PHONE CALLS/VISITATIONS:
Besides the monthly workshops and activities, volunteers also care for the physical, emotional, and spiritural needs of the patients , family members and caregivers by phone or visitation.
